It seems that Zack Wheeler got roughed up a bit last night in his rehab start with Lehigh Valley.
It’s probably mostly important to remember that he had major surgery and we aren’t sure what version of Wheeler will be returning soon. It’s also important to remember that this is his spring training, so peaks/valleys in his velocity are to be expected. Best not to make too much of it.

MLB news:
- It’s time for some injuries to hit the game. First up, in Boston, Johan Oviedo has a sore elbow and will sit for a bit.
- For the Cubs, they saw Cade Horton had to leave the game yesterday with forearm discomfort. That’s a big loss if it’s for a long time.
- Zach Eflin is going for a second opinion on his ailing elbow. That’s a tough one for Eflin and for Baltimore.
- Toronto is having some injury issues on the mound, so they’re bringing in Patrick Corbin to help reinforce the unit.
