The Philadelphia Phillies made some moves at the MLB trade deadline on Aug. 3, acquiring San Francisco second baseman Luis Arraez and reliever Caleb Kilian and New York Mets reliever Brooks Raley.
With the addition of Arraez, a four-time batting champion, the question is: Where will Arraez play, and where will he hit in the lineup?

Arraez is a pure contact hitter with little power. His profile suggests he's a prototypical No. 2 hitter. This season with the Giants, he has 215 plate appearances batting second and 135 plate appearances batting leadoff. He also had 104 plate appearances in either the No. 3 or No. 4 spot, but because he's not a power hitter, he doesn't fit in those two slots.
