The Philadelphia Eagles are set to begin OTAs, and it'll give 90 players on the roster their first opportunity at on-field work, seven-on-seven, 11-on-11, as the Birds continue preparation for July's training camp start. The Eagles and GM Howie Roseman are continuing to build out their 2026 roster and, after the NFL draft, announced the signing of eight undrafted free agents and added defensive lineman Joshua Weru through the NFL's International Player Pathway program.

Philadelphia will take the field on May 26-27, May 29, June 1-2, and June 4, with some of those days potentially serving as team-building opportunities, as head coach Nick Sirianni has talked about a reduced workload this offseason.

With the June 9-10 mandatory mini-camp just two weeks away, we're looking at five undrafted free agents to watch.

DL Joshua Weru

Weru brings rare athletic traits to Philadelphia after reportedly running a 4.45 40-yard dash and posting a 41-inch vertical at the HBCU showcase. The 6-foot-4, 244-pound prospect trained with noted developer Javon Gopie ahead of the draft, adding to the intrigue surrounding his long-term upside.

LB Deontae Lawson

Among the headline UDFA additions is former Alabama linebacker Deontae Lawson, a three-year starter, two-time All-SEC selection, and team captain who led the Crimson Tide with 89 tackles last season. Lawson arrives with the experience and instincts to compete immediately for a role.

TE Dae'Quan Wright

The Eagles signed Ole Miss tight end Dae’Quan Wright, a highly productive pass catcher who totaled 635 yards and five touchdowns while leading all FBS tight ends in yards after catch per reception last season. His combination of size and playmaking ability could make him a sleeper addition.

CB Kapena Gushiken, Ole Miss

A late bloomer, Gushiken started his college career at Saddleback Community College before transferring to Washington State for the 2023 and 2024 seasons. Gushiken continued to mature and eventually transferred, playing his final year of college ball at Ole Miss, where he started 12 games and set a career high with 55 tackles. Gushiken adds athletic intrigue after running an unofficial 4.35-second 40-yard dash with a 41-inch vertical and 11-foot broad jump at the Ole Miss Pro Day.

S Maximus Pulley, Wofford

An intriguing safety prospect, Pulley began his college career at Western Kentucky before spending three years at Wofford. As a senior, he was named an FCS All-American after logging 85 tackles, 10 passes defended, five interceptions (led the conference), and returned two of them for touchdowns (tied for most in the country). Pulley was a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award, given to the best defensive player in the FCS.

LS Rocco Underwood, Florida

Young can't have a special teams without a longsnapper, and Underwood is among the best at his position. During the 2024 season, Underwood won the Patrick Mannelly Award, given to the best long snapper in college football. He is experienced, having played 49 games during his career at Florida.
