PFL New York video: Amru Magomedov dissects Angel Alvarez

Amru Magomedov continues to shine.

At PFL New York on Friday, Magomedov (11-0) took complete advantage of his biggest spotlight to date as he methodically dissected Angel Alvarez (11-3) with a series of punches and leg kicks, eventually finishing the fight with ground-and-pound at the 4:28 mark of Round 2. The event took place at UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y.

Magomedov, 27, is the latest fighter in the Team Nurmagomedov succession line. While not related to the Nurmagomedovs, Magomedov has long been a member of the team. Khabib Nurmagomedov served as his lead cornerman Friday when he notched his ninth career finish.

Alvarez, 31, has a five-fight winning streak snapped. He won his PFL debut in May when he defeated Bryce Logan by unanimous decision.
