The NFL draft is now complete and the Denver Broncos have made their picks to improve their roster with necessary pieces. One of those picks centered around the Broncos' first-round draft pick, Jahdae Barron who comes from the University of Texas. Due to Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian's track record for developing prospects, it makes sense why Denver general manager George Paton was happy to land Barron in the first round.
Pro Football Focus loves the draft pick, believing that the Broncos got a steal in Barron at No. 20. Per PFF, adding Barron gives a big boost the Denver secondary that already features Defensive Player of the Year Pat Surtain.
Congrats to Barron on his completed road to the NFL, and congrats to defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, who now has an even better defense in 2025.

Denver opts to build upon a strength, pairing one of the best cornerbacks in college football, Barron, with the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Pat Surtain II. The versatile coverage defender — the highest-graded cornerback in college football last season (91.1) with at least 400 coverage snaps — is a natural zone defender with incredible instincts and can slot in at any position in the secondary.
Congrats to Barron on his completed road to the NFL, and congrats to defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, who now has an even better defense in 2025.
