CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — In limited minutes, Mihailo Petrovic went for 12 points and four assists in Illinois’ win over UT Rio Grande Valley.
Illinois was challenged by the Vaqueros, who took a four-point lead midway through the first half, led by 21 points from Kye Dickinson. The answer came from Andrej Stojakovic with a game-high 24 points and six rebounds.
The tough win comes before Illinois heads to New York City to play No. 5 UConn at Madison Square Garden. Underwood and Hurley will meet on Friday, November 28, at 11:30 a.m.
