New England Patriots linebacker Robert Spillane does not foresee his ankle injury preventing him from playing in Super Bowl LX against the Seattle Seahawks.
Spillane injured his ankle in the AFC Championship Game. He’s played in all three playoff games for New England thus far. The Illinois native has been listed on the Patriots’ injury report dating back to Wednesday, January 28. Spillane did not participate in practice on January 29 or January 30. The 30-year-old is questionable for the Super Bowl.
According to the Boston Herald’s Zack Cox, Spillane stated that he does not intend to sit for the big game:
Spillane recorded two interceptions, one sack and one forced fumble in the regular season. The seven-year veteran has two passes defended to his name in the 2025 playoffs. Spillane has five days left to get fully healthy before the opening kick-off on Sunday.
