The Green Bay Packers will host SE Louisiana defensive tackle Kaleb Proctor on an official visit before the 2026 NFL draft, per Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Proctor was named the Southland Conference Player of the Year after producing 9.0 sacks and 13 tackles for loss in 2025. He was also a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award, which is given to the FCS Defensive Player of the Year.
A three-year starter and two-time all-conference pick, Proctor followed up a dominant senior season with an impressive showing at the NFL Scouting Combine. At 6-2 and 291 pounds, Proctor ran the 40-yard dash in 4.79 seconds, hit 33" in the vertical leap, covered 9-5 in the broad jump and finished the short shuttle in 4.71 seconds. His Relative Athletic Score is 9.14 out of 10.0. While on the smaller side, Proctor had explosive jumps and elite times in the 40.
Proctor ranks No. 107 on the consensus big board, making him a likely Day 2 or early Day 3 pick. The Packers hold picks No. 52 and No. 84 on Day 2 and No. 120 to start Day 3.
From Lance Zierlein's scouting report on NFL.com: "As an interior defender, Proctor is an elite athlete with rare playmaking range. He’s an elusive rusher with an explosive first step and the ability to unlock openings with varied approaches and angles. He’s also very undersized with limited recourse once linemen have him squared up and put hands on him. He lacks the anchor or contact balance to withstand power. Proctor needs to find a fit in a move-based defensive front where he can try to mismatch interior protection with his quickness and athletic gifts."
The Packers have an obvious need along the defensive interior. Given his size and playstyle, Proctor is almost certainly a 3-technique at the next level. It's possible the Packers see him as a Javon Hargrave type player capable of dominating the FCS level before becoming a valuable interior disruptor in the NFL.
