Candidates are beginning to emerge as the Green Bay Packers attempt to find a replacement for Rich Bisaccia at special teams coordinator. According to Bill Huber of SI.com, the Packers are expected to interview New Orleans Saints assistant special teams coordinator Kyle Wilbur for the team's open special teams coordinator job.

Wilbur, who played special teams for Bisaccia with the Cowboys and Raiders, worked as a quality control coach on special teams under Bisaccia in Green Bay during the 2023 and 2024 seasons. He left the Packers to become the assistant special teams coordinator in New Orleans in 2025.

In the 36-year-old Wilbur, the Packers could get a young, ascending coach who played special teams at the NFL level, has worked as both a player and coach under Bisaccia and knows Green Bay.

Wilbur was originally a fourth-round pick of the Cowboys in 2012. He played under Bisaccia in Dallas from 2013 to 2017 and then followed Bisaccia to the Raiders in 2018. His last season in the NFL was with the Raiders during the 2021 season, when Bisaccia rose to interim head coach.

The Saints ranked as PFF's No. 27 ranked special teams unit and 32nd in Packers on SI's special teams rankings in 2025, but Wilbur was only an assistant under Phil Galiano, who was elevated to special teams coordinator after spending six seasons as the assistant in New Orleans.

From his former Packers.com bio: "Wilber played linebacker and defensive end and was a key special-teams contributor in the NFL for 10 seasons (2012-21), appearing in 135 games with 17 starts in the regular season and playing in four postseason contests. He originally was a fourth-round pick (No. 113 overall) by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2012 NFL Draft out of Wake Forest. After six seasons with the Cowboys (2012-17), he played four seasons with the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders (2018-21). Over his career, Wilber registered 105 tackles (71 solo), six tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks, seven QB hits, four passes defensed, a forced fumble and four fumble recoveries on defense. On special teams, he recorded 58 tackles, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries."
