The Green Bay Packers extended the contract of coach Matt LaFleur to start the 2026 offseason, but LaFleur's coaching staff is undergoing significant change on both sides of the football. The Packers will have at least one new coordinator and several new assistants, including at key spots on offense and defense.
Tracking all the coaching staff changes in Green Bay this offseason:
Adam Stenavich remains the offensive coordinator, although it's possible he could get an interview with the champion Seahawks, who will need to replace Klint Kubiak.
After two successful seasons in Green Bay, Hafley departed to become the new head coach of the Dolphins. LaFleur picked Gannon, the former Eagles defensive coordinator and Cardinals head coach, as the Hafley's replacement.
Rich Bisaccia is highly regarded in Green Bay and expected to return as special team coordinator in 2026.
Mannion departed to become the playcalling offensive coordinator of the Eagles. His replacement is an internal hire. Getsy, who previously coached quarterbacks on LaFleur's staff, will return to the role in 2026. He was a senior analyst on offense in 2025.
Ben Sirmans has coached running backs in Green Bay since 2016.
Mahaffey followed Mannion to Philadelphia, where he'll transition to run game coordinator and tight ends coach -- a befitting job for a coach who once played fullback and tight end at the collegiate level. LaFleur will replace him with Pauley, a respected receivers coach at the collegiate level who has developed several draft picks, including Christian Watson.
John Dunn has been the team's tight ends coach since 2022.
As of now, Luke Butkus appears set to return as offensive line coach, a role he's held since 2022. Eddie Gordon, who arrived in 2024, is his top assistant.
It appears Jonathan Gannon will keep Demarcus Covington on staff as his defensive line coach in 2026, making him a rare holdover from Jeff Hafley's final staff. His experience in both 4-3 and 3-4 fronts and as a coordinator is likely appealing.
Hafley is taking Duggan with him to Miami as his defensive coordinator. Siefkes, a Wisconsin native who spent last season as the defensive coordinator at Virginia Tech, will become the new linebackers coach. This position group took a step back in 2025.
Downard is headed to Miami with Hafley. Babich, the former Bills defensive coordinator, is taking on a top role on defense, but it's unclear if defensive backs coach will be among his titles. The Packers are adding Daniel Bullocks, who previously coached defensive backs for the 49ers.
We do know that Ansley is out and Babich is in as defensive pass game coordinator. Ansley will go to Dallas and join Christian Parker's defensive staff. Babich gives the Packers an experienced assistant who has coached linebackers, safeties and defensive backs under Sean McDermott.
Assistant special teams coach Byron Storer is leaving Green Bay to become the Browns special teams coordinator under Todd Monken.
Analyst Nathaniel Hackett, who worked with the Packers defense in 2025, is headed to Arizona to become the offensive coordinator under Mike LaFleur.
Defensive quality control assistant Wendel Davis is following Hafley to Miami.
The Packers will add Will Smart, who spent last season as a pass rush specialist for Vanderbilt. It's possible he'll be a defensive quality control assistant under Gannon.
Todd Hunt, a strength and conditioning assistant, is expected to join the Dolphins.
