After watching this NE game which makes me sad that Drake Maye is not the QB of the Big Red but his sliding down instead of scoring in final minute and a half exposes the hypocrisy of allowing only the QB to give himself up by sliding. How is it not an act of sportsman like conduct to decline to score points available to Maye. In this age of legal gambling his act cost some people money. Some might accuse Maye of point shaving. The NFL need to end the special rules for QBs by changing the rule to the college rule of ANY ball carrier being down when his knee contacts the ground.
