Over here at Stanley Cup of Chowder, we’re going to bring you up to speed on everything that is also happening with the Boston Fleet this offseason…and we have some catching up to do!
First things first, this first update will take a look at the Fleet’s top prospects for next season.
The PWHL will welcome four new teams when the league’s fourth season kicks off later this year. With that expansion and whatnot, the Fleet lost some valuable players, like forwards – and alternate captains – Alaina Muller and Jamie Lee Rattray. The blue line also became a little depleted with defenders Zoe Boyd, Mia Biotti, and Daniela Pejsova signing with expansion teams.
Looking to the future, the Fleet made five picks in the 2026 PWHL Draft on June 17. The team traded a second round pick with PWHL Detroit to get back its forward Ella Huber.
Round 1, Pick 10
Grace Dwyer
Defender, Cornell University
Dwyer registered 76 points in 134 games at Cornell and is touted as a consistent two-way player.
Round 3, Pick 27
Leah Stecker
Defender, Pennsylvania State University
Stecker accumulated 57 points in 152 games at Penn State.
Round 4, Pick 46
Jaden Bogden
Forward, Northeastern University
Bodgen played two years at Northeastern, registering 37 points in 68 games. She had previously played for Clarkson University before heading to Northeastern.
Round 5, Pick 58
Jenna Goodwin
Forward, Frolunda HC
Goodwin spent the 2025-26 season in the SDHL. Before that, she played four years at Clarkson University.
Round 6, Pick 70
Maeve Kelly
Defender, Boston University
Kelly registered 29 points during her time as a Terrier in 139 game
Looking back on the Fleet’s 2025 draft, Boston’s prospects-turned-rookies made quite the impact on the ice. Haley Winn was voted the best rookie of the year and had a remarkable year, paired mostly with captain Megan Keller – not to mention her impressive Olympic play. She was also nominated for defender of the year along with Keller who earned the honor and was fourth on the team in points – and first among Fleet rookies. Abby Newhook was also among the top rookies in the league. She was sixth on the team in points with 14 points in 29 games.
