Official | Strasbourg sign Chelsea centre-back Aaron Anselmino on loan
BlueCo-owned Ligue 1 club RC Strasbourg Alsace have signed Argentine centre-back Aaron Anselmino (20) on loan from partner club Chelsea FC, both clubs have announced. The young defender effectively replaces Senegal international centre-back Mamadou Sarr, whose Strasbourg loan has been terminated for him to rejoin the Blues.
Anselmino was initially sent out by Chelsea on loan to Borussia Dortmund, but he was recalled last month. Now, the Argentine will continue his development under the tutelage of Gary O’Neil. In Strasbourg, the former Boca Juniors will link up with fellow Argentines Valentin Barco and Joaquin Panichelli. It remains to be seen whether or not Anselmino will be ready for Thursday’s Coupe de France clash against AS Monaco.
