Real Madrid have published a medical report on defender Raúl Asencio, who suffered a scary neck injury during the return leg of the Champions League’s Round of 32 against Benfica and was forced to leave the game.
After the tests carried out to our player Raúl Asencio by the Medical Services of Real Madrid has been diagnosed with a cervical contracture. Pending evolution.

This is good news for Asencio. His collision with Eduardo Camavinga was very scary and he wasn’t moving at all when he was laying on the ground. While Real Madrid have not announced the extent of this injury, a cervical contracture is a good outcome and Asencio should be back fairly soon.
