Official | Elversberg snap up Kaiserslautern defensive specialist Luca Sirch on a free transfer
Newly promoted Bundesliga outfit Elversberg have confirmed the signing of former Kaiserslautern centre back Luca Sirch. The 27-year-old’s fascinating professional journey has finally led him to Germany’s top footballing flight. Sirch heads to the Saarland on a free transfer after his expiring FCK contract was not renewed.

“In signing Luca Sirch, we’ve succeeded in increasing the flexibility and tactical options within our squad with a very versatile player,” Elversberg sporting director Christian Weber noted in a club statement. “He can play in various positions and has proven over the past two years that he can quickly adapt to the challenges of a higher division. With his dynamism and strong right foot, he brings qualities that will benefit our game.“
“Through our head-to-head matches [Kaiserslautern against Elversberg] over the past two years, I’ve gained a very good impression of what sets SVE apart,” the player himself added. “The team stands for unity, energy, and a clear plan on the pitch.
