Buffalo's offensive playcaller is drawing enough interest from Baltimore for their head coach opening that they've requested a second interview.

But not before the Bills interviewed him for the job first.

Brady has been a key piece of their coaching staff and has drawn interest during hiring cycles around this time of year over recent seasons for HC jobs.

He is also currently scheduled for a second interview with the Baltimore Ravens this week, suggesting that he has emerged as a potential candidate to replace John Harbaugh as that franchise's next head coach.

Coaching QB Josh Allen, who can fluctuate between a historically good, Canton-bound generational player and one who is even still in need of development and disciplined execution, still more often than not is a good look for a coordinator like Brady.

Over four seasons with the Bills (2022-25), Brady progressed from quarterbacks coach to interim offensive coordinator before taking the full-time OC role. That he was the OC when Allen protected the ball and won MVP last season behind a strong O-line coached by Aaron Kromer doesn't hurt either.

Under Brady, Allen has earned three Pro Bowl selections, two Second-Team All-Pro honors, and the 2024 NFL MVP award. The numbers tell the story: 15,988 passing yards, 117 touchdowns, and a 65.6% completion rate—all while adding 2,396 rushing yards and 48 touchdowns on the ground. The QB also now holds the NFL record for most rushing TDs by a quarterback (79), and his 15 rushing scores in 2023 tied the single-season record for the position.

The Bills led the NFL with 159.6 rushing yards per game in 2025, as Brady oversaw the development of the ground game that resulted in RB James Cook leading the league in rushing yards this season with 1,621 yards.

Pairing an elite quarterback with a dominant ground game fits Baltimore, as the Ravens also possess a dynamic dual-threat quarterback in Lamar Jackson and a top running back in Derrick Henry, who finished just behind Cook with 1,595 rushing yards. Jackson has also won two MVP awards.

The potential pairing of Brady's scheme with Baltimore's star power is an intriguing proposition for a franchise desperate for improved offensive production in 2026. The team, like Buffalo, is looking to get over the hump in the playoffs. Brady's success with dual-threat quarterbacks predates his time in Buffalo, as he also played a role as LSU's passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach in 2019 in helping now-Bengals QB Joe Burrow win the Heisman Trophy and lead the Tigers to a National Championship. Burrow had 60 touchdowns and 5,671 passing yards that season, which led all of college football, earning Brady the Broyles Award as the nation's top assistant. The Bills are in the midst of their championship window and in pursuit of a Super Bowl during a critical offseason, having just begun their head coach interviews with the OC.

Baltimore has cast a wide net in their coaching search, interviewing 13 candidates, including defensive coordinators Jesse Minter (Chargers), Jim Schwartz (Browns), Brian Flores (Vikings), and former head coaches Matt Nagy and Mike McDaniel.

Brady's second interview suggests he's rising in that list.
