While there was some bad recruiting news for Notre Dame over the last few days, but there was some good to come out on Friday.

The nation’s top linebacker, Kaden Henderson dropped Miami from his top list, and will now choose from the Irish, Texas A&M and LSU according to a report by 247Sports Zach Blostein (subscription required). The 6-foot, 2-inch and 218-pounder has already taken his official visits to the Aggies and Tigers, with his trip to Notre Dame scheduled for next weekend.

That’s clearly a big one for the Irish, as Henderson has set his commitment date for the first of July. It looked like his home state school was in the lead, as him dropping the Hurricanes was a shock to many. Hopefully their loss is Notre Dame’s gain in the end.
