No. 9 Nebraska (21-2, 10-2) hit the road to play Rutgers (9-15, 2-11) in a Saturday morning conference bout. The Huskers entered the contest following losses to Illinois and Michigan last week but snapped their losing streak by taking down the Scarlet Knights 80-68.

Following another close start in the first half, Nebraska blew open its lead in the final four minutes, sparking an 11-3 run to enter the locker rooms up 41-27. The Huskers carried the momentum into the second half, keeping their lead in double-digits for the remainder of the game. Though Rutgers did close the gap late, Nebraska built itself too great a margin.

The Huskers finished 30-of-64 from the floor, 9-of-27 from three-point range and 11-of-12 from the foul line. Rutgers shot 27-of-56, 7-of-22 and 7-of-12, respectively. Nebraska also scored 15 points off 15 turnovers.

Rienk Mast led the Huskers in the win after missing the Michigan game and struggling against Illinois. He returned in full force, racking up 26 points by shooting 11-of-20 from the floor. He also finished with a team-high eight rebounds.

Pryce Sandfort dropped 15 points on the day, hitting 6-of-13 from the floor and 3-of-9 from beyond the arc. Sam Hoiberg also landed three shots from three-point range, going 3-of. He shot 5-of-7 in total, earning 13 points. Hoiberg also hauled in seven rebounds.

Jamarques Lawrence rounded out the offense, scoring 12 points by shooting 3-of-8 from the floor, 2-of-5 from three-point range and 4-of-4 from the free throw line. He also led Nebraska in assists, earning seven on the day.

The Huskers return to Lincoln for their next batch of games, starting with a top 15 showdown against No. 12 Purdue. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. on FS1.
