The No. 1 Texas Longhorns baseball team completed a three-game sweep over No. 9 Auburn on Saturday with a 14-2 run-rule victory at UFCU Disch-Falk Field in Austin. UT scored five runs in the first inning and five in the seventh to end the game early.

Graduate student Kimble Schuessler had his first multi-homer game of his career and drove in eight runs. The first baseman became just the fourth Longhorn to record eight RBI game since 2008.

This is top-ranked Texas' sixth sweep of the season, the second against a top-10 team in the last three weeks. The first place Longhorns have won 10 of its last 11 SEC conference games.

On Friday, two-sport star Jonah Williams got his first career start and didn't disappoint with three RBIs in the 8-3 win. The five-star DB is one of the crown jewels of Steve Sarkisian's 2025 recruiting class, but he might have won the starting left field starting job for the foreseeable future.

UT fought back from a 2-0 deficit in the third inning on Thursday to win 3-2 on a Schuessler solo home run to left field in the seventh inning.

Texas will play Texas State for the second time this season on Tuesday at 6 pm CT in San Marcos. The Bobcats actually beat the Longhorns 5-3 in Austin on April 1st.
