Welcome to the 2026 NHL trade deadline!
It's been slow going as Friday's 3 p.m. ET deadline approaches for all 32 NHL teams. While some names have come off the board, we enter Friday with many of the top players still available. The biggest move of the week came when Calgary Flames defenseman MacKenzie Weegar was moved to the Utah Mammoth as the team looks to hold onto its playoff spot.
Many in hockey have wondered if the institution of a playoff salary cap has NHL general managers in tighter spots than usual, though it has very much turned into a seller's market this year too. Regardless, with the deadline so close, moves will no doubt be made at a quicker pace as teams get one last chance to change their rosters ahead of the playoffs.
With the 2026 NHL trade deadline approaching, here is a list of all the major deals that have been made. Plus, there will be grades for all the big trades with our early impressions and thoughts! Let's dive in!
