A trio of former Denver Broncos defensive linemen recently found NFL homes ahead of the 2026 campaign.
Last week, the Arizona Cardinals re-signed defensive lineman P. J. Mustipher, who originally joined their practice squad in 2024. Mustipher entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State with the Broncos in 2023. After beginning his rookie season on Denver's practice squad, Mustipher was poached by the New Orleans Saints, who signed him to their active roster. He went to training camp with the Philadelphia Eagles the following summer before eventually landing with the Cardinals.
Also last week, the Atlanta Falcons re-signed Elijah Garcia, whom they signed off the New York Giants' practice squad last November. Garcia entered the league as a UDFA out of Rice with the Los Angeles Rams in 2022. The Broncos signed him off the Rams' practice squad in December of his rookie season, and he went on to spend two more summers in Denver before being cut. Garcia appeared in five games with the Broncos, totaling five tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.
And, last but not least, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed Nigerian defensive lineman Haggai Ndubuisi. He spent the 2023 season on Denver's practice squad as part of the NFL's international player pathway program. The Bucs are Ndubuisi's sixth NFL team. He appeared in one game with the Houston Texans last fall.
