The 2026 NFL Draft is less than two weeks away and excitement is building all across the league. One of the best parts of the draft for the fans is seeing the player their team picks in the first round come up on stage in the team hat, dap up Commissioner Roger Goodell, and get that welcome to the team.

There was a time when more than two dozen prospects would accept the invitation to the draft but this year, only 16 prospects will be in Pittsburgh. One less than last year, but three more than the 13 who attended the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit. By our projections, several of these prospects won't be taken in the first round and we will have to keep an eye on them to see if they stick around to go up on stage on Day Two or leave. We've seen both in the past.
