Darnell Mooney is headed to the New York Giants.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that Mooney agreed to sign with the Giants in free agency on Saturday. The deal is a one-year contract worth up to $10 million.
Mooney recorded 443 receiving yards and one touchdown in 2025 during his second season with the Atlanta Falcons. The six-year veteran wide receiver previously played for the Chicago Bears—the team that drafted him in the fifth round (No. 173 overall) in 2020—from 2020 to 2023. He achieved a 1,000-yard season in 2021, finishing with 1,055 yards.
The Giants add a former 1,000-yard receiver after Wan’Dale Robinson departed for the Tennessee Titans in free agency this offseason. Robinson was New York’s leading receiver last season with 1,014 yards.
Mooney, who is five years removed from his career-high 2021 campaign, bolsters the Giants’ receiving corps.
Mooney will enter his age-29 season in the NFL with the Giants in 2026.
