The Minnesota Vikings seem to be all in on the 2026 season, and it starts with their offense. They did not need to add another wide receiver, but they did. On top of having Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, they now have Jauan Jennings, whom they signed this offseason. All of this now gives quarterback Kyler Murray a loaded receiver group, and the team hopes it allows them to make a splash in 2026.

While Jennings is a WR3 in this offense on paper, he is far from one on the field. Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox wrote recently about a handful of underrated wide receivers and he included Jennings in there.

Knox writes, "In Minnesota, the 28-year-old will be sharing targets with Justin Jefferson, budding star Jordan Addison and tight end T.J. Hockenson. However, Jennings' value to the Vikings should be tremendous. He doesn't possess elite speed, but he's consistently shown that he can win with size (6'3", 212 lbs), physicality, route-running and work ethic. The fact that he didn't sign with Minnesota until May was surprising. Jennings was a reliable but overlooked receiver for three years with the San Francisco 49ers before his breakout 975-yard campaign in 2024. He battled injuries and finished with just 643 yards this past season, but he averaged 11.7 yards per catch and found the end zone nine times. In fact, 45 of his 55 receptions last season went for scores or first downs."

Apart from the pass game production, Jennings is also one of the best run blockers at his position. This team thrives on their wide receivers throwing their weight around, and in the process, it gets them more involved in the offense as a whole.

That is where Jennings is most underrated and where he will help the Vikings in 2026.
