Class of 2027 Nebraska football quarterback commit Trae Taylor was officially given a five-star designation by Rivals. This was officially announced by Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett and confirmed by Taylor himself.

Taylor is one of the best quarterbacks in the country, and now his rankings reflect that. He is the 14th overall player in the 2027 class and the top quarterback in the country.

Taylor has had quite the decorated month. He was the Elite 11 MVP after putting together a solid showing at the annual quarterback showcase. He now takes his talents to Millard South High School in Omaha this fall, as he gets set for his senior season.

Taylor is the first Husker five-star commitment since Dylan Raiola in 2024. Now, he will look to stabilize the quarterback position and become a cornerstone player for the program in the near future.

Jobs not finished blessed for it all, THE JOB IS NOT FINISHED. So much work to be done. @HuskerFootball@MSouthFootball@PlayBookAthlete@Elite11@adidasFballUShttps://t.co/ROwjB31GxA
