Nebraska freshman Alexis Jensen has been named Big Ten Pitcher of the Week. Jensen had a big weekend in the pitching circle for the Huskers. In a series sweep of Michigan, she went 2-0 in 9.0 innings with 12 strikeouts.
The Gretna native also had a big weekend in the batter's box too. She hit .667 with a home run and three RBI. Jensen is not the first Husker to win Big Ten Pitcher of the Week this season. Hannah Camenzind earned the honor on Feb. 23.
Nebraska returns to action on Friday afternoon for a weekend series against Michigan State. First pitch from East Lansing is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT on B1G+.
