Class of 2028 edge defender Darias Johnson received an offer from Nebraska football earlier this week, and he is excited about the offer.
Johnson is a three-star recruit. He is the 36th overall player in the 2028 class, and the 13th overall player in his class from the state of North Carolina, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. His recruitment is beginning to take off a bit.
He has offers from South Carolina, North Carolina State, North Carolina,Alabama, and Virginia Tech. Johnson most recently took a visit to South Carolina on June 12.
The edge prospect noted that he was excited to receive the offer per On3’s Bryan Munson (subscription required). The edge position is something that Nebraska football has focused on in these past couple of classes.
Roy Manning has been able to put together a solid recruiting board for the position. The groundwork has been laid for the 2027 class, and they are really honing in on 2028.
