Nebraska basketball guard Cale Jacobsen announced he will return to the Huskers for the 2026-27 season. This was confirmed on social media.

Jacobsen averaged 4.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. His best game of the season came against Iowa on March 8. He was a key reason for the Huskers' victory in overtime. Jacobson scored 15 points on six-of-six shooting. He played in all 35 games last season and was a key contributor off the bench.

Jacobsen originally joined the program as a walk-on in the 2022 season. He redshirted his first year before taking on a more expanded role.

Now, he will be an integral part of the program in his final season. He should be able to give the Huskers depth at the guard position, as they continue to sift through the transfer portal. It also gives them additional experience on a team undergoing roster turnover this offseason.
