Penn State is already set to break in a brand new college football uniform this 2026 season, but there could be another potential change that will draw some eyeballs.

Penn State is switching apparel providers in 2026 by ending its long relationship with Nike in favor of a new contract with Adidas. While the overall design of Penn State's iconic look is not expected to be altered by Adidas, the NCAA has opened the door to a uniform aesthetic that may take some getting used to. Beginning this year, schools will be allowed to add commercial logos to uniforms as part of a new rule change.

So, in addition to a Nittany Lion logo, a Big Ten patch, and an Adidas trademark, there could be a Sheetz logo plastered somewhere on the Penn State uniform. Hypothetically, of course.

According to the new rule change regarding uniforms, schools will be permitted to add up to two sponsorship logos to uniforms. Penn State may cherish its iconic look, but this rule change opens the door for additional revenue for the athletics department, and don't think for one second Penn State will sit on that opportunity.

All we can hope for at this point is that Penn State finds a corporate sponsor that won't clash wiht the home and road uniforms. Any company with a blue and white logo would be ideal. But we'll see how this all comes together.
