The NBA power rankings need a serious update after the Philadelphia 76ers added LeBron James. Where will the new-look Sixers rank in a league filled with talent and variety?
10. Miami Heat

The Miami Heat adding Giannis Antetokounmpo will obviously boost them into the top ten in NBA power rankings. They still have a roster to build, so they could find themselves even higher by the time the season starts.
9. Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers have had an amazing offseason. The additions of Walker Kessler, Sandro Mamukelashvili, Quentin Grimes, Collin Sexton, and other great value deals give them a great opportunity to find success post-LeBron.
8. Detroit Pistons
The Detroit Pistons were the one seed last season, but that’s about all they have to their name. They’ve had a very disappointing offseason, adding very little to their overachieving roster. If they lose Jalen Duren in free agency, they could fall even farther.
7. Houston Rockets
The Houston Rockets have not found the playoff success that they are expected to have each season. Their young core will keep them high in the power rankings, but Kevin Durant is the real wildcard here. He needs to keep playing at a high level for Houston to stay in the top ten.
6. Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves didn't get LeBron, but that can't overshadow the successful offseason they've had. The acquisition of LaMelo Ball keeps them as serious contenders out west.
5. Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets still have the most talented player in the league with Nikola Jokic. The next season will be very telling in regard to their future success. They need to have an inspiring run to give their fanbase hope of another championship in the near future.
4. New York Knicks
The New York Knicks are the reigning NBA Champions, so obviously they need to be given respect. They haven't made any crazy additions, so they haven't jumped into another tier like the teams above them. Still, they can't be dismissed by any means.
3. Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers have officially entered the top three in the power rankings. The LeBron James signing pushed them from a really good team to a great team. The fit seems like it couldn't be better. The only thing that can derail this team is the health of their stars. LeBron and Joel Embiid will need to be healthy in April.
2. Oklahoma City Thunder
The Oklahoma City Thunder are going to be here for a while. It's hard to picture them fading out of the upper hierarchy of NBA Power Rankings as they continue to progress. They have a young core who will only continue to improve. Salary restrictions are the only way this team gets torn apart, but that's not a concern entering next season. They have their eyes set on another championship.
1. San Antonio Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs are still the team to beat across the association. Any NBA Power Rankings without them at the top, or at the very least in the top two, just isn't right. Their young core will only continue to get better, giving them the best chance to win the NBA Finals in 2027.
End Of My NBA Power Rankings (LeBron James Update)
The 76ers have officially catapulted into the best roster in the Eastern Conference after signing LeBron. The Western Conference powerhouses still run the league, but the 76ers are not too far behind. This NBA season will be must-watch.
