The Golden State Warriors have done it. They are now on the brink of securing their spot in the second round of the NBA playoffs after their hard-fought 109-106 victory against the Houston Rockets in Game 4.
To their credit, the Rockets kept Steph Curry (relatively) at bay on Monday night as Houston did all it could to prevent another offensive explosion from the former back-to-back MVP.
This resulted in a somewhat quiet outing for Curry -- at least by his extremely high standards -- who finished with 17 points, three rebounds, three assists, a steal and two triples in 39 minutes of action.

While this was far from a vintage performance from the 11-time All-Star, Curry was still able to make history yet again on Monday night. The NBA announced after the game that the Warriors superstar has climbed the all-time leaderboard for most assists in the postseason.
"Congrats to @StephenCurry30 of the @warriors for moving into 19th on the all-time playoff ASSISTS list!" the NBA posted on X.
Curry's three dimes in Game 4 was enough to see him surpass five-time All-NBA point guard Kevin Johnson for the No. 19 spot on the list. Curry (936) is now just one assist behind Hall of Famer and six-time NBA champ Bob Cousy, who has 937 dimes to his name.
More importantly, though, Curry helped lead the Warriors to a pivotal victory in Game 4. They are now just one win away from booking their place in the next round after going up 3-1 against the Rockets. Curry and Co. can close this series out on Wednesday in Game 5 at Houston.
