LeBron James knows full well what he needs to do for the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. L.A. is coming off a Game 3 loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves, which had them entering Game 4 down 2-1 in the series.
This only meant that the stakes were even higher on Sunday with the Lakers potentially going down 3-1 with a loss in Minnesota.
As such, James did all he could to will his team to victory. He was aggressive from the get-go, which resulted in 20 points in the opening half for the 21-time All-Star. He was active on the glass, too, which saw him racking up another double-double in the game.

This wasn't an ordinary double-double for James, though. This marked the 144th time in his illustrious career that the four-time NBA champ has registered a double-double, allowing him to make another bit of history.
The NBA made the historic announcement on social media during the game as the league congratulated James for his latest milestone.
"Congrats to @KingJames of the @Lakers for moving up to 3rd on the all-time playoffs double-doubles list!" the NBA posted on X.
As the NBA's announcement indicated, James has broken his tie with the great Wilt Chamberlain on the esteemed list. The four-time MVP is now sitting at the No. 3 spot alone, with his sights set on another Lakers icon, Magic Johnson, who currently has 13 more career playoff double-doubles over James.
That wasn't the only historic feat from James on Sunday, either. Earlier in the game, he was able to rewrite the history books by scoring 20 points in the first half on just five field-goal attempts. James is the only player to have ever achieved this feat in playoff history, and he's now done it twice.
