Paul Pierce has never been bashful. The long time Boston Celtics forward, found a home for his brash persona, bringing his "hot takes" to television on a daily basis.

Pierce is a panelist on FS1's "Speak" alongside host, Joy Taylor and co-panelist and former NFL player, Keyshawn Johnson.

Pierce, who spent 15 of his 18-year NBA-career with the Celtics, seemingly always carries a supreme confidence that his former team will be successful. Ahead of Game 2 against the New York Knicks on Wednesday night, Pierce brought one of his more confident takes you'll ever see on the air ahead of this basketball game.

“If the Celtics lose Game 2 at home, I’m walking here tomorrow, 15 miles! In my robe, no shoes on, barefoot… Put the house on this game!”@paulpierce34 just put some high-stakes on this Celtics/Knicks game tonight pic.twitter.com/pCybIfAxq6

“If the Celtics lose Game 2 at home, I’m walking here tomorrow, 15 miles! In my robe, no shoes on, barefoot… Put the house on this game!” Pierce said prior to tip-off of Game 2.

While Pierce was over-confident that the Celtics would bounce back in Game 2, his former team made the wrong kind of NBA history, becoming the first team in NBA history to blow 20-point leads in consecutive playoff games.

Naturally, the above video has resurfaced (everywhere) on social media, and NBA fans are not holding back, as they are brutally roasting Pierce for his guarantee that's gone horribly wrong.

"Better start walking!" @jonji_verse posted on X.

"He gon have some blisters lol," @Emak718 said on X.

"I want to see the video on X tomorrow of with this guy walking to the studio in a robe," @LePurSang posted on X.

Even (Keyshawn) Johnson joined the fun, re-tweeting the video with his own message.

"Better get to walking!!" Johnson posted on X.

The world will find out on Thursday if Pierce held up his end of his (failed) guarantee.

The Celtics on the other hand, have their work cut out for them in Game 3, as they'll look to take a page out of the Knicks' playbook, winning consecutive road games.

Game 3 will tip-off on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. EDT on ABC inside Madison Square Garden.
