NASCAR time and TV channel for Brickyard 400, other Indy races

Drinking games are sometimes popular among TV viewers.

This weekend, I say line 'em up and toss one back every time you hear the word historyor historic. Oh, what the hell, toss in iconic, that overused label thrown around by the hype pushers.

At least this time, there really is history because it's the most famous speedway in the world: Indianapolis, where the familiar pagoda and that front straight, enveloped by nearby grandstands, can both rightly be called iconic.

The actual racing? Not always great, but we'll see how it goes with the Cup and O'Reilly cars racing at the Brickyard, while the Trucks and ARCA will be racing across town at Lucas Oil Speedway, which you might remember as Indianapolis Raceway Park.

Friday: Brickyard practice; racing at Lucas Oil Raceway​

Noon: O'Reilly Series practice (CW app).

1 p.m.: Cup Series practice (Tru).

3 p.m.: Truck Series practice (FS1).

4:05 p.m.: Truck Series qualifying (FS1).

5:30 p.m.: ARCA race, LiUNA 150 (FS1).

8 p.m.: Truck Series race, TSport 200 (FS1).

Saturday: All eyes on Indy for Cup lineup, O'Reilly race​

Noon: O'Reilly Series qualifying (CW).

1:30 p.m.: Cup Series qualifying (Tru).

4 p.m.: O'Reilly Series race, Pennzoil 250 (CW).

Sunday: NASCAR Brickyard 400 gets the full spotlight at Indy​

2 p.m.: Cup Series race, Brickyard 400 (TNT).
