Napoli’s Manna also linked as potential Massara replacement

The relationship between Ricky Massara and Gian Piero Gasperini has never really taken off, and the coach’s comments confirm a rift that seemed destined to occur.

According to Corriere della Sera, Massara, who is currently with the team in Bologna, has no intention of resigning.

His position, however, appears increasingly fragile, and it seems almost certain that he will be removed from the Giallorossi management by the end of the season.

Gasparini has repeatedly emphasized his desire to work with a management figure aligned with his vision and who shares the same ambition to lead Roma to growth.

However, the collaboration with Massara has never worked out as expected. This has created a tense situation that now appears to be coming to an end.

The sporting director doesn’t appear to be willing to voluntarily step down. However, it’s clear that his position has become untenable in an environment where the coach holds absolute leadership and technical decisions are increasingly in his hands.

With Massara’s departure now likely, Roma is already searching for a replacement.

The names circulating as his successor include Giuntoli, D’Amico, and Manna. However, the final decision will rest with Gasperini, who will have a key role in deciding who will be Roma’s new sporting director.
