Real Madrid coach José Mourinho wants the club to sign a quality left-back this summer as he’s received some negative reports about Álvaro Carreras from previous coach Álvaro Arbeloa, according to a report from Miguel Serrano.

José Mourinho has requested a left-back from Real Madrid, citing concerning performance reports regarding Álvaro Carreras and expressing dissatisfaction with the club’s current options at the position.

Real Madrid spent €50 million to sign Carreras away from Benfica last summer, and while the Spanish defender completed quality performances during the first half of the season, his form dropped significantly and ended being a reserve since Arbeloa took over, with some whispers suggesting that Carreras wasn’t showing commitment in training.
