Vaibhav Sooryavanshi breaks most sixes in IPL season record during SRH vs RR
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi broke Chris Gayle's long-standing record for the most sixes in an IPL season during the SRH vs RR IPL 2026 Eliminator clash.
Sooryavanshi picked up from where he left off in the league stage as he hit 25 runs off Cummins' third over and scored a quickfire half-century.
In the process, he also broke Gayle's 2012 record of 59 sixes, crossing the 60-mark inside the powerplay. He also became the youngest player in IPL history to cross the 600-run mark, breaking Rishabh Pant's record from 2018.
Sooryavanshi scored 97 runs before falling short on recording the fastest IPL century. He recorded 65 sixes in IPL 2026 so far.
