Morocco: Walid Regragui is no longer the head coach of the Atlas Lions
It was in the air these past few days! Walid Regragui and the Moroccan Football Federation have confirmed the end of their partnership.
According to information from L'Equipe, everything is now signed between Walid Regragui and the federation for the contract termination. Mohamed Ouahbi is expected to step in, with João Sacramento and Youssouf Hadji as his assistants.
As a reminder, shortly after the conclusion of AFCON 2025, Walid Regragui decided not to continue, despite the prospect of leading the team into another World Cup in just a few weeks (June 11–July 19).
Negotiations then took place with the FRMF before an agreement was finally reached.
