Stephen Strasburg and Gerrit Cole each signed record-breaking contracts over the first two days of the Winter Meetings, which leaves Anthony Rendon as the best player available on the market. Rendon has drawn interest from many clubs, including the Rangers, Dodgers, Nationals and Angels. On Wednesday, Ken Rosenthal reported how the Dodgers are starting fade from the bidding and how Rendon 'balked' at the deferrals in Washington's initial contract offer.
