Michigan State basketball has officially won the weekend and are moving on to the Sweet 16. The Spartans downed Louisville in the Round of 32, 77-69, earning their spot in the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament.

After taking an 8-7 lead with 15:35 remaining in the first half, they never gave up being ahead, and led the game the rest of the way. A performance that was frustrating at times, turned into the Spartans always holding control of the game.

A pair of double-doubles for the Spartans helped lead the way in this game, with Jeremy Fears finishing with 12 points and 16 assists, while Coen Carr led the team with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Trey Fort (12 points) and Jaxon Kohler (10 points) also finished in double figures.

The Spartans now move onto the second weekend of the tournament and will play in a Friday Sweet 16 matchup in Washington D.C. against the winner of UConn and UCLA.
