MIAMI GARDENS ― One again, the Miami Dolphins had a successful class of undrafted free agents.
After adding players such as Kadyn Proctor, Chris Johnson and Jacob Rodriguez in the first and second rounds, respectively, and some other intriguing players in Rounds 3-7 (see: Chris Bell), the Dolphins got to work on adding players at positions of need.
Even after the draft, the Dolphins appear to have needs at edge, safety and defensive line.
By this point, we are accustomed to one or two undrafted free agents making the Dolphins' initial 53-man roster.
Reiger, 6-foot-5, 251 pounds, sheds blocks, creates pressure and plays with high motor. Reiger was once reportedly (The Athletic) advised to medically retire due to knee/leg injuries. He was projected as high as a fifth-round pick.
Moss, 5-foot-11, 203 pounds, could have been a fifth- or sixth-round pick. Moss is a power/goal-line back. He is a decisive runner and a willing blocker. Moss has missed some time due to knee and ankle injuries.
Konga, 6-foot-3, 298 pounds, is a native of Cameroon who was raised in Canada. Konga, who could have been a sixth- or seventh-round pick, has some good athletic traits and is a worthwhile developmental prospect.
Moore, 5-foot-11, 191 pounds, showed instincts and ball skills in college. Moore went undrafted largely because he's not a speedster. Moore is a converted wide receiver and willing tackler.
Gronowski, 6-foot-2, 226 pounds, could have been a seventh-rounder. Gronowski is a dual-threat who ran for 545 yards and 16 touchdowns last season. The former South Dakota State quarterback will compete with former North Dakota quarterback Cam Miller for Miami's No. 3 quarterback. He's smart and a determined runner who will work to polish his passing.
