Meet the Mets​


The Mets handily defeated the Brewers 4-0 last night. Zac Thornton had another stellar start, allowing just three hits and a walk in six scoreless innings and collecting his first major league win.

The Braves were roundly beaten in an 8-3 loss to the Padres. Reynaldo López gave up five runs and nine hits in just 4.1 innings.

The Marlins lost 5-3 to the Astros. Joe Mack drove in two of the three Marlins runs with a two-run home run in the seventh inning.

The Nationals lost an 8-7 slugfest to the Rockies. Clayton Beeter gave up the game winning run on a Hunter Goodman solo home run in the eighth.

Around Major League Baseball​


The MLBPA put out a statement today about their most recent CBA proposals with regards to the amateur draft.

ESPN updated their list of the top 100 trade candidates ahead of the deadline on August 3.

There are plenty of reasons why the Dodgers would trade for Tarik Skubal—and an equal amount of reasons why they wouldn’t.
