SLOCUM, Texas (KETK) — The two-time defending state champion Martins Mill Lady Mustangs came into Monday night’s 2A-D2 bi-district playoff matchup against Lovelady on a 17-game winning streak and fresh off their 21st-straight district title.
The Lady Mustangs showed why they’re favorites to cut down the nets in San Antonio again this year, using a relentless defensive effort and hot shooting to roll past the Lady Lions 100-19 and punch their ticket to the 2A-D2 area round.
Martins Mill (26-5) will play either Mart or Kerens in the 2A-D2 area round.
