Cal Raleigh had the best home run hitting season by a catcher in MLB history in 2025.
In 2026, the Seattle Mariners' catcher still hasn't gotten on track.
Raleigh is hitting well below the Mendoza Line.
His OPS is still under .600.
He has hit nine home runs in what amounts to a little less than half a season of action.
It's brutal, and while the hope for a while was that it would eventually get better, it still hasn't gotten any better.

Raleigh's injury struggles this season haven't helped. An oblique problem that he dealt with is the kind of nagging ailment that can legitimately hurt a swing.
Still, it's been pretty astounding to watch.
Even before Raleigh's historic season, he had been a slugger on the rise. And now, he's trending toward his worst-ever season in the major leagues.
It will raise all sorts of questions for Seattle. Do they count on Raleigh bouncing back later this year, or next year? Or has his peak been reached and now he's falling off a cliff?
The Mariners surely hope that Raleigh will continue to feel healthier and rediscover his swing.
In the meantime, it's just a painful thing to watch. Something is wrong with Raleigh, and it's not getting better as quickly as anyone would like.
