On Monday, Texas women's basketball found out that its Sweet 16 matchup will be a rematch and not a reunion.

Texas has drawn Kentucky as its opponent in the third round of the NCAA Tournament. Kentucky, which plays alongside Texas in the SEC, advanced to the Sweet 16 with Monday's 74-73 win over West Virginia, which was UT's former foe in the Big 12.

Texas and Kentucky will meet at Fort Worth's Dickies Arena at 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon in a game that will be televised by ABC.

The Longhorns and Wildcats' Sweet 16 showdown comes less than seven weeks after Texas recorded a 64-53 victory at Kentucky's expense in Austin. In that 11-point win, UT got a combined 30 points from sophomores Justice Carlton and Jordan Lee.

The Longhorns opened their tournament run with 87-45 and 100-58 wins over Missouri State and Oregon. In addition to beating West Virginia, Kentucky has also earned a 71-56 win over James Madison in the NCAA Tournament.
