CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Yes, you read that right. Illinois quarterback Luke Altmyer caught a touchdown pass from none other than his number one receiver Hank Beatty.
You may be wondering, how in the world does that work? Take a look at the Illini’s take on the Philly special.
Beatty now has a rushing, receiving, punt return, and now passing touchdown on the season.
He now joins pretty elite company, with Red Grange, as an Illini who has collected all those accolades in one season.
While not gaining national attention, the “Hank for Heisman” campaign may get some serious hype after his start to the USC game.
The touchdown put the Illini up 14-7 in the middle of the second quarter. Check out the rest of the game on Fox.
