More than two decades since it was a yearly host to an LPGA Tour event, LPGA International will welcome back some of the former touring professionals who competed in Daytona Beach during their golfing primes.
Eighteen former LPGA golfers will headline a May 5 (Tuesday) charity scramble at LPGA International, where each will be paired with four amateur partners. Along with the golf, the event will raise money for the Air Warrior Courage Foundation, which provides financial assistance for active-duty and retired military personnel.
The scramble serves as the first event of 2026 for the Legends of the LPGA, a circuit for former LPGA professionals ages 45 and over. It was originally known as the Women’s Senior Golf Tour (founded in 2000) and more recently as simply the Legends Tour.
The pro roster for the Daytona Beach event includes a pair of World Golf Hall of Famers, Hollis Stacy (18 LPGA wins, including three U.S. Opens) and Jan Stephenson (16 LPGA wins, including three majors).
Other former Tour winners in the lineup: Rosie Jones (13 wins), Michelle McGann (7), Tammie Greene (7), Laura Diaz (2), Anne Marie Palli (2), Laurie Rinker (2), Leta Lindley (1), Jackie Gallagher-Smith (1) and tournament organizer Barb Bunkowsky (1).
The rest: Tracy Hanson, Yvonne Cox-Holmes, Nancy Sharff, Nicole Jeray, Kristal Parker, Pat Shriver and Sue Ginter.
LPGA International, where the LPGA Tour's headquarters has been located since the mid-1990s, was host to the tour's Mercury Titleholders Championship from 1995-99, and the ADT Championship in 2000.
Bunkowsky, a Canadian native and former Florida State University golfer, now lives in Daytona Beach and is sharing tournament organization efforts with her husband, John Thompson.
She says entries are still welcome, and if necessary, more professionals will be added to the tee sheet.

What’s included: Monday night (May 4) draw party, silent auction and dinner; Tuesday 9 a.m. shotgun start, with post-round awards and light fare starting at 2:30 p.m.

The AWCF was formed in 1998, having sprung from the Vietnam era’s Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Association.
Its listed mission statement: “The Air Warrior Courage Foundation was formed by military aviators to 'care for our own.' We work closely with the Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Association to do that. We focus on active duty, guard, reserve and retired military personnel and their families needing financial assistance for medical, educational, and other extraordinary expenses not covered by other military, veterans, or charitable institutions.”
