The Las Vegas Raiders could finally be the most interesting "sleeper" pick in the NFL for the upcoming season.

The Raiders have struggled with instability at the quarterback position for years, inconsistent coaching for the most part, and constant roster construction issues. But there is hope that the Raiders are moving in a more organized direction.

In a division that focuses heavily on the Kansas City Chiefs, the Raiders have the opportunity to operate under the radar a bit. They have been building some foundational pieces on both sides of the football as well. If the Raiders can finally hit on the QB position with Kirk Cousins starting and playing well, they have enough talent to make the playoffs. If not, the first overall draft pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, Fernando Mendoza, looks ready to lead the charge if called upon.

It is always intriguing when a team operates under dangerously low expectations. This is when teams can make the jump when no one is paying attention.

Two seasons ago, the Washington Commanders came out of nowhere and finished 12-5, making a run to the playoffs. Every season, it seems like a team comes out of nowhere and surprises everyone while changing the playoff landscape. This year, the question remains: who will fit the description? These types of turnarounds always happen quickly, and it just feels like it is time for the Raiders to make the move.
