The Los Angeles Lakers will look to bounce back from a disappointing series-opening home loss when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night in Game 2 at Crypto.com Arena.
The No. 6-seeded Timberwolves shot a scorching 50% from 3-point territory (21-of-42) in their 117-95 rout on Saturday night. Jaden McDaniels, Naz Reid and Anthony Edwards all topped the 20-point mark as Minnesota snatched the home-court advantage in the best-of-seven series.
The Lakers, can't depend on Luka Doncic (37 points in Game 1) to do it all if they want to even the series heading back to Minneapolis. Coach JJ Redick was emphatic that things will need to change in Game 2. “I’m not sure physically we were ready, if that makes sense,’’ Redick said. “When they started playing with a lot of thrust and physicality, like, we just didn’t respond.’’
