Texas Athletics recently announced that Texas men’s basketball will take on the program’s former Big 12 opponent Baylor on Sunday, November 15, at the San Antonio Hoops Showdown in the Frost Bank Center.

From Texas Athletics:

“The contest will mark the first appearance by the Longhorns in San Antonio since the 2003 NCAA Tournament. … Baylor is Texas’ most common opponent in program history. Prior to Texas joining the [SEC] prior to the 2024-25 season, the two teams competed in the same conference since 1915 (Southwest Conference and Big 12). The only season since 1906 that the Longhorns and Bears did not meet prior to 2024-25 season was in 1908, when Texas did not field a team.”
